Upendra is featured in a screenshot from his upcoming film "UI," which has been gaining attention for its innovative use of technology. The filmmakers have disclosed that they used 200 DSLR cameras to capture footage for creating the actor's digital double in the movie. This process involved scanning the footage with 3D technology, resulting in the seamless integration of the virtual double into various scenes, as mentioned by director Naveen Manoharan. Along with lead actress Reeshma Nanaiah, the action thriller, produced by G Manoharan and Sreekanth K P, is set to be released on December 20. The filmmakers combined practical sets with advanced virtual reality technology to produce a visually striking world, incorporating over 1,400 VFX shots and even integrating Virtual Reality technology and a mocobot camera for an immersive effect in one scene. They also constructed a substantial eight-acre set to depict a separate city for filming. According to the director, all VFX work has been completed, and the team is eager to showcase the film to audiences. "UI" promises to be a unique cinematic experience, with elements like multi-language release, engaging songs, captivating posters, and intriguing teasers that have generated anticipation for the thought-provoking narrative ahead, as mentioned by Upendra.
